Aimless wealth
Azhar works for more than 16 hours a day. His children can’t find him at home because he leaves home early in the morning when the children are asleep and arrives home around midnight when the children are asleep. His wife looks forward to spending time with him and the children miss him dearly.
His children were thinking about Sunday that they would spend the whole day with their father. But to cope with rising household expenses and children’s education, Azhar also took a job on Sunday.
His wife, children and parents were upset. This routine continued and many years passed. Azhar’s hard work paid off and he was offered a promotion with attractive pay. The family moved into a new house. However, Azhar’s attempt to make more money did not end there. One day his wife asked him why you are running after wealth. Now we can live contentedly with what we have. Azhar replied, „I want to give you the best things in the world and I want you all to be happy forever.“ Five more years passed and Azhar could hardly spend time with his family.
The children longed to see their father at home . On the other hand, Azhar’s efforts to make money made him a money-making machine. He was offered a partnership in various institutions and a share in the profits. From which he continued to earn maximum wealth. Now, Azhar’s family is one of the richest in the city. They have all the facilities and comforts. His young children have become teenagers and they are no longer children. Azhar made a lot of money to provide a luxurious life for his next generation. And when wealth comes, there are thousands of ways to spend. Azhar’s family went to the tribal areas for entertainment. His daughter said to his father, „Father , will you spend the day at home and stay there with us?“ Azhar replied, „Yes, dear daughter, why not? I will join you for lunch and stay with you all for the next few days.“ I’m tired from work and I need rest! Everyone in the house was very happy to hear this. Unfortunately, the next day, none of Azhar’s family survived because they all sailed into the river! When this sad news reached to Azhar, he was very busy in a meeting. When he reached his tribal home, he saw water everywhere. He kept shouting for his family, he could not even find the bodies of his wife and children. He could never find them again, could not see them and could not revive them even after paying all the money! He remembered his wife’s words, why are you running after for money? We can only be happy with what we have. Money cannot buy everything.
